I ordered a 338 edge barrel was wondering if I should find a staggered feed action so I can use some king of single shot follower.

Sharpshooter Supply makes a nice single shot loading ramp for centerfeed receivers.

Since you're ok with single shot, either will work. Centerfeed with the SSS ramp, or a stagger feed with a Score-high.

I built my personal one on one of the old actions that was a long action with a short action mag opening. I just used a short action single shot ramp.
