I didn't find a thread on this subject but there must have been at least one. I want to know whether the 3K mags work in a 1907 (mine was produced in 2010-Ser#26043). It seems I read somewhere that the 2010 forward production had a unique magazine--is that true? The mag I have has a single cutout at the bottom and it works well.

I just got this Savage so still learning about it. Would appreciate any help.

For information on magazines, scroll down to the bottom of the page in my link. It will answer your question on OEM Savage magazines. On a personal note I purchased 3K magazines (3) for a Colt .38 Mid Range pistol and had issues with all of them. A friend bought a 3K magazine for a Browning Medalist and it wont go into the magazine well. I won't be spending money on anything 3K again.

Thank you. It answered my question on the holes. I've had mixed experience with 3K but most feedback is negative.

My experience with triple k is similar, with Walther TPH and FN 1910. Their replacement grips are worse. Not recommended.
