Just wondering if anyone has any good ideas on how to increase the LOP by 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. My new Mark ii BTV has an LOP of 13.75 inches and while not terrible I'd be happier if it was 14.25 to 14.5 inches. That's where my Mossberg 802 is. The Savage is definitely a higher quality rife but I find that the Mossberg is more comfortable to shoot.
I'd really like to extend the LOP just a bit but I want it to look good as well, this is a beautiful rifle so I don't want to give it a rube goldberg appearance.

Thicker recoil pad, and/or spacers. Companies that make both and that come to mind are pachmayr and kick-eez, I'm sure there are others. If you are not good at DIY, a gunsmith can make it look good. Or you try to find a stock with a longer length of pull.

If it were me I'd go with a thicker spacer and recoil pad combination, the stock on the BTV's are really nice looking, I'd want to keep that stock.

I agree about the stock, that was one of the biggest reasons I chose that rife so no matter what the stock will be staying. Boyds says that the make a bigger pad but I don't see in on their web site. I'll contact them to see about getting it. I doesn't come pre fit but that shouldn't be a big deal, thanks for the response.
