Well I guess no one knows anything about a mark 11. Do I have to go over to rimfirecentral. Mike

You provide nothing about what you've done... different ammo you've tried, equipment you're using, your skill level... nothing. So why would you expect anything more than nothing in return?

Here you go... don't shoot on a windy day. Let us know how that works out.

IMO 1/4" groups consistently at 50 yards with that rifle isn't going to happen. Many guys spend thousands of dollars to shoot those kind of groups consistently and they don't shoot Savages. Not hating on Savage rifles as they are very good for the money and I own several.

By all means hit rimfire central, lots of good guys and info there.

yep. send it back to savage. they rebarreled mine 4 times before they got a 7/8 inch group at 100 yards. it still won't shoot with my custom 10/22 rifles, but I will hold on to it till I get a shilens barrel in for it. I think they have a big problem with their frost back rimfire barrels myself.

25 yard groups shooting eley tennex and a old lot of lapua that shot in the .0's in my match rifles.

now I can get it in the .3's with those lots at 50 yards. there is something wrong with the barrels coming from Canada! when they have to rebarrel a rifle 4 times and it is 1/8 inch under m.o.a. on a indoor rifle range there is a problem. they only test rimfire rifles on Wednesdays if it helps you out

you will need you serial number off the rifle, name and address if you call them. be very nice and polite. they are reading off a computer screen. they told me the first time they had replaced small parts that didn't have a part number. since I know somebody at savage I asked to speak to them. this person asked what I did to it. I said I glass bedded it and tuned ithe action screws and the targets I sent were the best it did(same targets I posted). he said it needed a barrel. I said imagine that. I told your people the exact same thing!!! 4 rebarrels later I got this lame barrel and a cheap scope back!! I gave the scope to a friend of mine because I use target scopes. I wish savage would have their rimfires made here in America and not in the frost back area. they hate fire arms and want them to be gone. by producing lack luster barrels they can do exactly that.

Savage rifles aren't equal to high dollar "target rifles" but for the most part they are very good rifles for the money.

my old mark II I have from back in 2001 shoots circles around this new one. I recrowned the barrel on my old one with a 11 degree target crown. I can take wolf and sk standard plus and shoot that rifle in the .2s at 50 yards when I do my part. I just shimmed the trigger on it, glass and pillar bedded it then recrowned it. I figured this new mark II trr-sr would shoot as good. I have tuned the action screws, glass bedded it and just short of putting a tuner on it. it is a fun gun, and deadly silent with a can on it. you can hear the firing pin fall!

I know the barrels aren't good match grade barrels like shilens, lilja or hart but we would like to think they are able to do a little better. .3s isn't even 1/2 m.o.a. look at what they do with their centerfire rifles. you would think they would pass that on to the rimfire .22lr rifles.

my old savage that came with just one action screw and recrowned barrel.

that old rifle has taken more tree rats than I could keep track of. still have it in the gun safe and use it a lot in the fall to put meat on the table.
