I was wondering if the action will handle mild to medium loads using 180 to 200 grain bullets with 7828 or slow type powders. not going to push it hard just need some opinions

Seems more like a question for the reloading section.

Quick look does not show that powder use, goggle search can assist.

Starting reloading today, found IMR 7828 used.

It does range across bullet sizes from 165 to 200.

I don't usually list loads but you can find it on Sierra web site.

Frankly if the books says it will hold max charges then it will.

Limiting is some powders are totally unsuitable to some cartridges, you can take it to the limit in the book keeping an eye on the over pressure signs (sticky bolt is a good one, others like primers are not good indicators and need to be used with a preponderance of evidence.

Action strength?
As long as you keep it within SAAMI pressures they do fine. I've got a 6.5 Leopard in a large shank, been fine and dandy.

I ran 190g VLD's out of my 300wsm's. They liked to be pushed hard. I backed off a bit once I started to see over-pressure signs.

Mine were all on small shank long actions.
