My experience with guns is limited to hunting as a kid with my Dad and uncle using an old shot gun he paid 10 bucks for back in the 50s. That is until I joined the Coast Guard and learned to shoot the 1911 and the M16 minus the forward assist. After I got married and had 3 kids dad gave me that old shotgun to hunt with and that is all I used until the powers to be pissed me off and the Wife and I bought four hand guns and the Savage Axis, well she bought the Axis for a fathers day gift 3 years ago.
Savage makes a nice rifle in the Axis line but the Scope that came with broke and wasn't the one Savage sold with them so I mounted a red dot on it and use it for plinking with my reduced loads and cat sneeze loads. Cat sneeze gives absolutely no recoil not even an eight of an inch, half a grain more and a mild push on the shoulder.
