Richard's microfit benchrest. Savage target action. Shilen 6BR and 6.5 creedmoor for now.

I am using the whidden vblock. At this point I have the stock hugged out for the vblock but the one I got from midway doesn’t have the right bolt pattern. A call to Whidden is in order. I will get the right one then.

Long ways to go. May have to take it to the range before all the sanding and clear coat.

Looks good! I really like the 6br but I've not tried the 6.5cm either so.

Looks good! How much work did your stock require? Was it the "typical" chainsaw carving so many talk about? I'd really like to try one for my next BR build but unsure what to expect. My SSS stock on last build was pretty good and arrived ahead of schedule.

Well I thought it was really nice. Here are pics of the first time I set the action in the stock as it.came.out of the box. Of course this is.my first attempt.at.this.

Well finally got the barreled action bedded today. Work has interfered with play.

The action screws were too short but SSS fixed me right up.

Installed the whidden vblock. Bought the one for the target action. Turned out I needed the Palma. Had to swap it.

I really screwed up the pillar installation. There has got to be a better way. My pillar holes are a little big.now but the.way I see it that just gives the devcon a better grip.

Pull the action at noon tomorrow. Hope there are no more surprises.

Now for sanding and finishing

Should be a shooter. What barrel/caliber did you go with or is it a stock Savage BR in the Richard's stock?

It.is.the target action. I have sheilen 6br and 6.5 Creedmoor barrels. When I get it.finished no telling what chambering I will add to the collection.

It is a bench gun. I am not carrying that monster any further than I have to.

Might get to a Prairie dog town one day but otherwise paper
