He built me a 26", 1:7, long throated, heavy contour .223 barrel for my Savage short action. Holy Crap, can this thing shoot. It doesn't seem to matter what bullet\powder combo I throw at it, it just puts them through 1 hole at 100 yards.
The 1st target is 80gr Nosler CC over 24.5 CFE223 in Norma brass using Seller& Beloit primers (I was testing if these primers were as accurate as the REM 7-1/2 I normally use). This is a 20 shot group, and the "stuff" outside of the 8 ring and the 3 marks at 10 o'clock are blemishes on the target

These are both 69 gr Nosler over CFE223 with Rem 7-1/2 primer and Norma Brass. left target is 25.0, right target is 25.4 Both are 10 shot groups. Top hole on left is from another load shot on a different target
