300 WM build

I finally received my barrel from Jim at Apache, and the rifle I started back in late December is finally completed.

Flat back 110 action, stagger feed, milled to open up to center feed mag length, timed and trued by SSS
Bolt fluted by SSS with oversized tactical bolt handle
Rifle Basix Sav-1 trigger
Northland Shooters barrel nut and lug
Apache 27" 300 WM barrel with Vias brake
MDT LSS-XL chassis with PRS stock and Ergo large palm swell grip
Nightforce 20 MOA base
Vortex matched rings
Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 MOAR

I have a family event today, and work tomorrow, but then on Monday I plan on testing it out. I have some 180gr NBT I loaded up to break it in, then I'm going to mainly shoot 215 Berger hybrids.

Hey SHM, any chance of a photo of the milling that was undertaken to open the action cutout to suit the chassis.
I have the same problem with an older 110 and a new chassis. Agreed, the MDT LSS-XL and PRS stock look pretty slick.

Thanks for the photo, much appreciated. Did you have any issue with the front cutout lining up with the chassis mag cutout.

Lines up perfectly. They can't really change the feed ramp system or anything, so it's just the posterior end that needs to be altered

Very nice, and good Cartridge choice !

I think it will look even nicer if you paint the barrel black, like the rest of the rifle.

The barrel, brake, recoil lug and barrel nut black. You know what I mean.

I've got black, two different grays, magpul sand and blue titanium for duracoat right now, not sure what color i want to go.
