Bought some of these to test against my usual match kings. First impression, these things are freaking long for gr weight. A measure of base to ogive reenforced this by showing identical base to ogive as the 190gr smk. The meplate is about as concentric as the Sierra. These will have to be sorted as I've found some variation in gr weight. I'll update again once I get out and load test.

Can only be expected for solid copper. The more copper, the longer the pill.

Except the match burners aren't solid copper bullets. Otherwise yes, all copper bullets are long for their weight because of the density difference.

^Exactly, the match burner bullets are traditional design. The only way I can explain their weight to length ratio is an extra thick jacket and smaller core.

Well, I finally got around to shooting those match burners and I am impressed. Ran a ladder test at 10 rounds each 53gr to 56gr H4350 in my 30-06. All rounds were loaded 5 thousandths from jam. Over all, nothing was above 1.5in spread. 56gr and 54gr showed great promise. Need to get a day off where we're not getting 40-50 mph gusts. Best I was able to do was 3/4in groups at 100.
