About the Cabelas 10T in 6.5 creedmoor for $599.00 specs say barrel has 5R rifling, curious if the rifling is different from my Cabelas Model 12fv in 223

i do not believe the fv has 5R. I think savage would advertise that, as the 5R is currently trendy.

They go on sale every couple months for $529. I have the same rifle i bought as a 308, they are really great, impossible to beat for the price, in my opinion.

The 12FV definitely does not have the 5R rifling. My Models of 1917 do though!

I have seen the 10T on sale and probably will again as its a Cabella only and they seem to do that. It may be up for a $75 Savage rebate (I just got a 111 Trophy hunter at $150 off via that route, $75 Savage rebate and $75 Cabelkas discount)

I like the 12FV better than the 10T but I was going after bench rest vs Field use. the 10T is a nice setup at a good price, on sale or not.

Last time it was $100 off (Cabelas only discount)

Got mine for $529 at Cabelas in Rogers, AR. Excellent deal, whether on sale or not. Shoots 143 ELD-X factory ammo incredibly well- .75 and less groups at 100.

Had it out at 1000 yards last Saturday on IPSC steel and it was dead on. I'm now reloading to mimic those great factory rounds plus just a little more in the FPS department. Haven't chrono'd them, but based on Hornady published BC of the bullet and drop at 1000 yards, my guess is that I'm getting 2750ish fps without any pressure signs.

Goes without saying that I'm thrilled at this performance.
