You'll be pleased to know that they are currently in testing, and plan on doing a full launch at the January shot show.

....What you ask?
6.5 Creedmoor brass. They are testing/planning on going with Small primer pockets, same as their Palma/x47/220R cases, and flash holes.

Pleased to hear that. Thanks Darkker!

Will the small primers require any mods to our bolts or firing pins?

.......No.......

Boltheads are not based upon primer size, they are based upon case head size.

In some cases to use Small Primers the Firing pin diameter needs to be reduced in order to avoid cratering/puncturing the small primers. I forget what the diameter measurement is, but it seems to be a fix if that is a consistent problem.

After all, the whole point of a small primer pocket and the reason guys that run them love them so much is the brasses ability to handle higher pressures.... And Darker I'm not debating that with you....

I could be one of those cases...???

So, higher pressures, pushing the pill harder, is why SRP's are more accurate ???

I suppose the puncturing could be helped by using SRP's with the thicker cups ?

There's a lot of factors that play into accuracy, but SRP cases do seem to have more inherent consistency based on the chrono numbers I've seen.

There are conflicting studies made by others like David Tubb on this topic stating that with cases using over 35grs of powder ignition was inconsistent. However, current powders and primers have also been showing better consistency and ability to prove those studies incorrect. Obviously it works for so many that I would call it null and void.

Run what works and stop over thinking it!

Good advise LW! I'm not "inherently prepared" to overthink ;-))

That may well be a side effect, but if it was soley for that purpose, then the high pressure cartridges would all be running small primers, no?

Think he was joking, All major factories load by volume. Weight is a handloader thing.
