I'm talking about hand loads...any powder, case, primer, bullets with
any savage production gun. Mine is the LRPV in 223.

I usually have two or three touching, but then there is always at least one flier.

My .223 LRPV, 1-7" twist shot the 90 gr bergers right at 1" at 340 yards. Thats with 22.0 grains of IMR 4895 with the bullet jammed into the rifling. That was a three shot group, and there was no wind.

BTW, my gun did the two group thing like I've heard several other people have complained about on here and other sites. Then, I noticed that when I set the trigger like I wanted it (light), it would not set when I put the stock back on. I figured that the action was getting torqued a little then when I put the stock back on. I followed someones advice and dremmeled out the stock under the tang and the 2 groups became 1. :D

Same here with a Stevens 200. I suspect the flier is due to me. It seems everything I put through it, reload or factory, shoots very well.

Furthest groundhog to date it 218 yards using American Eagle 50 gr Flat base soft point's.

at 200yds, i pretty much expect that out of my rebarreled rifles w/ handloads, i would allow a little bit more room w/ a factory barrel before being upset.

i haven't shot 200yds in a long time, i either go to the 100yd bench or 300yd bench depending on my goals for the day....
