I don't have pictures, but shot a 0.4" 3-shot group at 100 meters using 57.5 gr of Hybrid 100V pushing a 200 gr ELD-X pill. I'm working this load up for a Colorado elk hunt in October. While I like the accuracy, I'm afraid the load is too light. However, I tried all the way up to 62.5 gr (bolt began to be hard to open). I tried H414 all the way through the charge range, but it never produced as accurate of a group as the Hybrid 100V. Any suggestions?

You could also try IMR7828.
Im getting exceptional accuracy with the 190 VLD, Although the velocity is a little lower than I'd like to see.

I use 4350 behind 208 gr hornady Amax at Williamsport 1000 yard club. 4350 has produced the best results in my 300wsm

^ Ditto for My BIL ^ He uses H4350 and Bergers in His 300WSM

Edit: I would also try H4831 for Your application. Should give good speed, with no pressure problems...and for a Elk hunt, reasonable accuracy is required, not necessarily bench rest accuracy.

JMHO :-)

Unless you have some goofy soft brass, difficult bolt opening is WAY over pressure. Typically "signs" of pressure begin in the neighborhood of 75,000 psi.
Elk really aren't difficult to kill. All of mine fell to a 165gr HotCor from a 308 at 2400 fps. Go for accuracy above all else, in all things and you will be fine.

There is a gent on another board who has been testing those bullets. From his testing, they can be a bit "soft" when run really quickly.
