I'm converting my .223 LRPV to 6.5 CM. My barrel should be here next week so i can take it to the Gun Smith. I have another post about this, and thank you everyone the responded to that post on the parts i would need.
I decided to go to a G.S. instead of doing this myself, because A i don't have all the tools to swap the barrel myself and B the price he quoted was very reasonable.
I have all the bolt parts, new bolt head, baffle, springs, ejector, extractor, barrel nut, recoil lug..., the new barrel is a Criterion Big Bull.
So my question to this knowledged group is, what should i have the G.S. check other than just swapping parts.
Check the firing pin protrusion i know, what else, anything on the barrel chamber? anything on the action?
Any other suggestions you have would be helpful.
Thank you for your time
