This is confusing me. The resetting of the zero.

How come we don't measure from the outside of the bolt head to the bolt face and then to the extended pin tip and subtract the difference? Isn't the protrusion from the bolt face to the tip of the firing pin?
Edit: Never mind. It comes up with the same answer. lol :)
