What bullet weight should I be shooting for accuracy in my Savage 110-308 with a twelve twist? I am currently using 150 Hornaday FMJBT and getting 1/2 MOA.

Surprised your getting that good of groups with that round. More of a plinking round. Try the SST's or some of nosler 150 gr ballistic tips. Cost a little more but should shoot better than those FMJ bullets.

Yeah, be elated if it happens; but don't expect much accuracy out of a ball bullet.

LOL....150 Hornady FMJBT.

Several years ago I bought a bulk pack of those from Wideners...they shot really good in my Savage 1-10 twist also.
