Has anyone built or rebarreled a axis to 458 socom. What changes are needed, how did it work out?

Can't say that I have ever heard of anyone using an Axis with a 458 Dr. Thunder did do a 450 Bushmaster which I would imagine is similar.

The problem I have with .450 Bushmaster is feeding. I've just about given up playing with the feed lips of my magazines. The .458 SOCOM is a little more tapered but still about the same width and length.

Which Axis did you use, large bolt head? which magazine are you working with Cal. wise?

Well, the bolt head was a standard, short action (.308 Win), but the problem is the magazine. They won't feed at all from a .223 Rem magazine and have a tendency to nose dive from a .308 magazine when the bolt is moving rapidly.

Wonder about the 458x2 inch American?
