we are thinking of a possible prairie dog hunt, probably 4 guys and around 6 223 rifle and others, is it possible to load for all of them with the same load, and since there will be alot of shooting are there any powders that burn the coolest, i had 26 of varget and a 55 vmax in mind, any suggestions on a load other than what i mentioned are welcome, probable will load 1000 or so.

U might find a load that might shoot decent in all the guns but every gun is different with harmonics. I load 25.5 gr 8208xbr with 53 gr vmax for two ar 15 one shoots .5 other an inch hope this helps!

I just looked down the page on this subject and noticed two other threads on 223 loads. Maybe I am being unreasonable.

H335 might be what your looking for.

Nothing is impossible, but I believe this would be highly unlikely. There might be a retail load or two that all the guns like or shoot well, could just use those in mass quantities.

I use 2 powders for my 223 in the dog fields. H322 and Blue dot. The Blue Dot is what I use to hold barrel heat down but its not a powder for everyone.

You can use the same powder and bullets for the 6 223s but the chamber & throat will be different on all 6 which could lead to problems in the sun out on the prairie. When I was out in June it was hot, real hot with intense sun. Do not work up a load to the edge at home and load a bunch for for the trip, its asking for problems.
