They're pretty nice. Controls aren't similar to AR, so it's a learning experience. Easy to handle, and comfortable. Gaining popularity in the aftermarket. Triggers are heavy and squishy, but upgradeable.

Is that the one with the plastic trigger and sear?

I can't speak to the sear, but the trigger is not plastic.

I've not read a lot of reviews, but a long/heavy trigger seems to be prevalent among what I have seen.

I've also read that the Geissele Tavor Super Sabra trigger is more reliable than the Timney Tavor trigger.

Where the Tavor can be found it seems to be running fairly close to MSRP, and not cheap. Price and availability are both likely to get worse as January nears...

Got mine from a buddy, who was ready for a new flavor. Only had it a couple months. I'm trying to decide on an optic. It's for an Aimpoint PRO at the moment. Thinking I'll go with a Meprolight M21. Seems logical as it was designed for the Tavor. After that will definately be trigger upgrade

I have a Meprolight M21 with bullseye reticle - haven't mounted it on anything (yet).

It is HEAVY - I expect it to be bomb-proof!

Have you added a washout eliminator?

The bullseye is the reticle I would go with, not thrilled that the center dot is almost 4 moa. The Tavor wasn't designed as a sharp shooter though. So it's a fair trade I suppose

Never fired one, but I would like to buy one. Maybe once I get all of my student loans paid off.

Not yet. I do almost always have duck & electrical tape handy.

I was looking at them recently but I bought SIG MCX instead. The tavor was heavier and the trigger is awful. The sig trigger is heavy but nothing like the tavor

With the stock folded it's as short as a tavor and weighs 6 lbs. I am going to take it to the range next weekend. I've heard that they can be in the neighborhood of 1 moa so with any luck once I figure out what it likes I will have an accurate rifle. It won't be anywhere near my savage but good enough for what it is.

But you can't shoulder it and shoot as accurately as the Tavor with the stock folded. ;)

No but I also don't see myself ever needing something that compact to clear rooms. I have never had the urge to pretend I'm in the seals or delta force I wanted the compact size and light weight for storage and travel. I can shoulder a full length rifle

Just teasing, the Sig's are very nice. I would like to add one to my collection

I like the idea of using the Tavor as a pig gun in the swamps and woods around here.

Even short-barreled rifles tend to catch on the plants and vines.

The trigger bow, and housing for the sear and hammer are plastic. The hammer, sear, and link from trigger bow to wear are metal. I intend to get a Geissle Super Sabra, and lightning bow. Unless, that is, Fostech makes an Echo for it.........[emoji12]

I'm hear to tell you, the Super Sabra is a world of difference from the stock trigger. Still long, but much smoother. The resistance builds until the trigger trips. There's no real "wall".

I don't know how the rifle would feel if it had the aftermarket trigger bow.
