Hey Folks,
So i had my boyds pro varmit stock inlet for the PTG bottom metal and my choate tactical . Fits great. I went to put the 308 action and everything together. When I was test feeding I notice the mag is very lose. There is about 1/8th inch worth of place Up and down in the mag well. IF the mag sit high enough it feeds the round perfectly But if the mag sits 1/8th inch lower in the bottom metal. The bolt head completely misses the round. I am thinking the inlet it not deep enough (enough from my research and looking at others running the same set up the bdm is sitting at the right height) or the mag release is not long enough. It is doing this with both stocks. I will have to get pictures up tonight. Any one else running this set up Pictures of your would be greatly appreciated.

You called it right.

The bolt head must ride a hair above the mag lips to feed rounds. Inlet is to shallow.

I thinking the same, shallow inlet.
The PTG bottom metal in my Choat stock feeds like butter with AI and accurate mags.

When I cut my Choat I basically tool out the rear step and then massaged the well opening.
The flat pad in the front was carried all the way back.

Perfect thanks for the photos. I think I need to shave the rear down just a little. And will go from there
