finally done with the build of the 450 bushmaster
cost and components listed
Savage Axis .243 heavy contour from gun broker new in the box 189.00
shipping and transfer 30.00
Apache gun works barrel 20 inch for 180.00 shipped
Redfield Revolution 3X9X40 new in the box from Arms list 100.00
weaver rings and bases 10.99
reduced the trigger pull by removing coils on the trigger spring and polished the sheer as per savageshooters.com
works good got it down just under 4 lbs, might play wit it some more but it is a deer gun not a sniper rifle
purchased 4 boxes of ammo on line for 26.50 box
was able to go to the Howell gun range with buddy who also built one of these but with a 17 inch barrel
both shot great and we are both real happy with the results
i sited mine at 3.0 inches high at 100 yards for a 8 inch vital so i can hold on center to 250 yards
