I'm sure there is a really good ??? reason why ALL the after market bbl sellers have their chambers cut using industry standard dementions which means none of the chambers require neck turning, not even the 6 BR, BRX or the 6 Dasher. ALL EXCEPT the 22 BR [Lapua]. Maybe it is that when someone thought about necking a BR case down to .224 the only brass available was the Rem. brass ??
So anyone considering a bbl/ in 22 BR [Lapua] you have two choices get a reamer made with a .254-.255 neck and then you have a reamer that you can make a plaque for , or invest in neck turning tools, At least the neck turning set up can be sold.

Not many people want to mess with neck turning. And more recently no-turn chambers have done well in competition, so more people are deciding not to neck turn. Several pre-fit barrels do have necks that are not SAAMI spec. Most 6BR have .272 no turn necks. But those really thin custom neck diameter barrels don't sell. Stocking different neck diameters would end up in a bigger inventory that didn't move as quickly. This is because if you are wanting to get really competitive you want to get s blank and either chamber it yourself or have your favorite gunsmith chamber/thread it for you.

keyhole hit it right on the head...reamers are pretty cheap and you can order them to your specs...id suggest buying a turning set up and a reamer then your barrels will always be the same or very close.
