So I have found its best to not fix things that arent broken but I have a MKII FVSR and a 93R17 TR that both have had ALOT of rounds through them. The MKII especially gets dirty. I wipe the bolts down with MPRO7 and then hit them with a drop of MPRO7 oil wipe off excess and call it good. i just wondered about the internals of the bolts. I know they don't need much of anything but
A. I don't know how to disassemble them
B. I know there is some carbon gunked in there
C. the guns both run fine I just think it couldn't hurt to know how the bolts come apart.
This is not something Im going to try and figure out on my own because I'm sure there are some quirks and things that could be messed up.
Any ideas or opinions? I just want to see the inner workings and give them a light cleaning out. These guns have seen sand, dirt, water you name it.

This video shows the bolt disassembly pretty well.

I usually remove the bolt and spray it thoroughly with non-chlorinated brake cleaner, which gets all the carbon and crud out, brush it with a toothbrush, spray again. Let it dry. spray good with Ballistol, wipe it down. Wipe out the chamber, run the bore and you are good to go again..
