Savage's new Edge rifle

Can the bolt head and barrels be changed the same as other Savage rifles? I have a friend who is considering buying one in .223 but will want to convert to 308 later.

Your friend would be better of buying a Stevens model 200. Everything is changeable on it. To date, no-one has posted anything about having done a barrel swap. It may be possible, I am sure changing the barrel is OK but not sure about the bolt head. The bolt is different.
