I've actually a couple of 99s in the past and just picked up a 300 Savage. My first time with caliber. Previously I had one in 243 and 308. I think I like the old time calibers better. I plan to reload for it to make sure I can have ammo for it if it ever gets scarce but will probably use factory ammo for hunting like the Hornady Suoerperformance ammo or the Remington or Federal offerings. It came with 3 boxes of Remington.
