locking lug area wear

I bought an old 1994 300win mag 111 and I was wondering can the the locking lug area of the receiver wear to the point of not being able to be re-barreled or head spaced correctly?

If the bolt closes, no. Headspace is set on the bolt face. If the bolt closes to battery, headspacing can be performed.
