My buddies were all hoping for a spectacular Scope Eye Event. Proper form and recoil control is the key to shooting those magnums. This rifle was quite a bit short for me, so I put my rice bag in between the stock and my shoulder to get some extra distance from the scope.
Rifle was a Kimber in 300WSM as stated weighing in right around 7lbs. I had it zeroed at 200yds and doped at 300, 400, and 500yds in just 14rds. I love breaking in a virgin rifle on someone elses dime. Especially when the buddy I did this for was doing it for a customer of his. Got done in plenty of time to meet everyone for Tacos and Margaritas and to top it off he covered my food and drinks lol.
