Was not difficult at all, if you can make a stock look like that, you can strip and re blue a rifle!! And if not send it to a gunsmith! You were going to anyway but I think it would mean more of you did the whole gun!

Yes the perma blue kit. It gives a nice dark blue.

It's a cold blue and that's my only reserve about it

What's wrong with cold blue? It made for a nice project, I think it would go good with what you got going on there

Cold blue typically isn't as deep and doesn't last as long. I do know growing up I seen a bottle of that on his shelf

I don't think he ever really reblued it I think he just rubbed it on the barre every so often
