I'm with you Ryfulman about the reloading. Regardless of the rifle, reloading is a HUGE part of accuracy. You can always catch the people in "make believe land", when they talk about their new expensive rifle that shoots 1/2, or 1/4 MOA with factory ammo. Ummmm, no. But, I would believe a person who talks about groups, like that, with their stock rifle and a particular load that was developed. Reloading is more important than a fancy rifle.

Check this Dave :

Here is an example that factory ammo does the trick

My gunsmith send me these pics a while ago - 0.120 MOA - using Winchester Creedmoor 6.5 factory ammo !

He is gonna build my new rifle - using a BigHorn TL3 action

Hope it shoots just as good as this one - or even better !

The factory ammo for 6.5 shoots from all reports I have seen. Frank G from SnipersHide has done multiple videos with the RPR using Prime ammo. He did change the barrel but really only because he could he was getting similar results with the factory barrel.

I know that Frank uses them

I just bought a few boxes and waiting on my new scope so that I can zero my rifle using the Prime Ammo

Wondering what grouping they will give me !

Frank is getting 1/2 MOA or better with his guns. Will be interesting to see how it does for you.

I have been trying to get my LGS to stock it he is seriuosly looking in to it as I am not the only customer asking for it.

Ain't that the truth, a buddy bought a AI 300 win mag with a Schimdt. Went with him to zero it, 3 inch groups. I shot it, 1/2 in group with factory ammo.

Grouping is so personal . . .
All shooters try to do their best but . . . .

The biggest factor will always be the shooter. No matter how good the reloading or how high of quality the factory ammo is.

The only problem is that Turners will not ship FFL to FFL out of state. I had ordered and paid for this rifle Jan 26th, 2016 from Savage right after shot show 2016. After weekly follow up calls to Savage to get an ETA, which nobody there could tell me. Some of them didn't even know what I was talking about. After months of this I finally received an email from Savage that it would be some time in November before I would receive the rifle. Hell with that Savage!! I requested my money to be sent back.

Guess I should clarify. When I sent the email requesting, they responded and said the refund is being processed. I live in Phx and am not able to locate one locally. I may just go the Masterpiece arms route and get their 6.5, which is more $$ but seems to be a fantastic rifle.

It's more expensive but you are gonna get more rifle
They use the Savage 12 Sportster action - no mods done to it - and the Rifle Basix trigger
And it has a better barrel - a Bergera

Shoot Eric an email at MPA - he's a real nice guy !

The rifle above is gonna cost a lot more than a Savage Stealth's 😉

But if you go for a Stillers action I would spend somewhat more and get a Surgeon, Defiance, Kelbly's or a BigHorn action instead

Just my .02

I do like the link and info you sent. I had not looked at the lite chassis with the Savage action. I will give Eric a call and speak with him. That sounds like a hell of a great PRS starter rifle. It should shoot much better than the Savage LRP or the Stealth. Thanks for the info.
