Well, I started getting the itch to build another rifle. With my weakness for Savage's I decided it would of course be based on a Savage action. This won't be a quick process because I will have to acquire the parts as money and finding allows. I was able to win a Stevens 200 on Gunbroker so the journey has begun... 6.5 Creedmoor here I come!

You don't mention the caliber of the 200 you got. I Bought a Mod 11 in 204 Ruger in anticipation of building either a 17 fireball or 20 vartarg. when i shot the 204 I decided it would be difficult to tear that gun down. It has proven to be capable of 1/2". don't shoot the donor. Creedmore is also an attractive choice.

Strut 64 - same problem here; now I can't get my fill of the 204 Ruger. It's a very efficient cartridge.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I missed the new posts some hoe. The Stevens is a 308. I have managed to pick up some parts but am still searching for a good deal.
