Somewhere, perhaps on this forum, I read an informative post, with several pics, about a pillar bedding job that involved brass lamp parts. The technique described involved using two parts for each pillar, the threaded tube cut to length, and a threaded cap into which the tube was screwed, enabling adjustment for the proper pillar height. Does anyone recall seeing that post, on this site or elsewhere? If so, please point me in the right direction.

Also, I have a question regarding the pillars to be used. Should they be just large enough to accommodate the action screws, or should they be larger, so as to avoid potential contact with the pillar itself?

Thanks everyone in advance for your attention.

Theres been several posts with the lamp rods I believe. I dont remember the 2 part one though.
Here's a couple Ive used for reference before. Theyre not all lamp rods but should still help.
As far as inside diam....I think mine are .260 (I ordered my pillars and I just cut them myself). I wrap tape around the bolts when I do the bedding job, this gives clearance inside the pillars to keep them from hopefully touching once the tape is removed.

Oops, sorry, I found the answer to my own question. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=596433

FYI, I would like to hear feedback from other members about this technique. Any comments?
