I was wondering how hard it is to inlet a McMillan stock. What tools are needed? Any pointers?

The pro I know gets the stock with just a basic channel taken right down the middle and does the full inlet with a milling machine. I don't think it would be much fun with a wood chisel by hand, perhaps a rotary tool of some sort would be the ticket.

I like mcmillian
But I always order a drop in. Worth the extra cost.

Inletting a stock is fairly ease. I specify that the stock should be compatible, they mill it, and I install it on the action.
