I am trying to figure out what kind of bases go with a pre war 99 EG that has the holes drilled abreast (across the receiver ring) as opposed to in tandem as is the standard. I had the answer at one time and for the life of me cant remember and cant find my notes. Thanks for the help!

.

The only two CF rifles I know of, that had the scope mount base screw holes lined up perpendicular to the bore C/L, instead of parallel with the bore, are the T/C TCR single-shot rifle from the 1980's, and the very early Winchester BigBore 94 Angle Eject from 1982/3.

YES! Thanks Mad Dog. Apparently the B, U, and Q all had holes to mount a scope that way. I bought an EG 10 years ago that had those mounts and a scope, price was $400. I asked how much with out the scope and they said $300 so i said take the scope off. Well, that was my 1st 99...live and learn. Thanks again.
