Well the first thing a lot of guys do after working the trigger is put it in a Boyd's stock. Wooden stocked axis's seem pretty popular.
How much more $?

Never seen an Axis with a factory wood stock. It's look sharp maybe they have decided to do something new.

They're new for this year (2016).
As for the price, it's really not a bad deal when you think about it. You'll pay $300 or a little more regular price for an Axis (not an Axis II w/AccuTrigger). Now factor in $130 or so for a Boyds stock and you're at the same $430 they are getting for these, plus your getting the AccuTrigger.

I was going to say Cabelas sells the regular II XP for $450. That's higher than other sellers, but MrFurious is right. Compared to a II XP from Bud's ($370, not including transfer), there's only an $80 difference for the wood stock. I'd like to take a closer look at the Savage factory wood stocks, but they could, ironically, be a good replacement for Boyds!
