Sold my 93R17. I very very rarely sell firearms, but a buddy was needing a varmit rifle and after dropping by while I was seeing how much the trigger job had improved the groups. He made me an offer on the spot that gave a me a everything I had in it and a few extra pennies so I let it go. Now I have a bare spot in the safe and some cash burning a whole in my pocket. I'm thinking I'm going to save a few more $ and pick up something a bit rougher on the yotes out past 100 yards. I can hunt them with my AR, but honestly it almost seems like I'm cheating. Always liked the 22-250 might go that way.

I was also big fan of the 22-250. Just got a model 12 FV in .204 Ruger and it has become my favorite If you get a chance to check out the 204 I think you'll like it.

I have a Model 12 FVSS in 22-250 and it's a killer. So far my longest ground hog kill is 446 yards and I killed eight over 400 yards with it last year. It's heavy, a little over 12 lbs so if you're looking for something to carry much I'd look at something like a mdl 10.

The .204 is a good round. I would hunt with it when I was a kid. My dad got me a Youth Remington 700 in .204 back when I was 9 in 1999 and I used it tell I was about 15. When my daughters are big enough to shoulder it I will give it to them. But a .204 is a good smaller round if that's what you are looking for.
