Hello ! I am buying my first Savage rifle this week. A Mark II FV-SR 17HMR....I have read several places where a barrel compensator although not very practical on such a small caliber does help stop "tail flip" when the bullet leaves the muzzle and improves accuracy when shooting at a distance. Any truth to this ? I haven't been able to find a dedicated 17HMR compensator so would a .223/5.56 comp work satisfactorily ? Thank you !
