Anyone using bushings to reload for their 6.5 lapua criterion barrel? Haven't received the barrel yet but want to order a bushing for my reloading die.

There is a formula. The case neck thickness x 2 plus .264 -.002. You want to go .002 under your loaded dimension (.001 spring back and .001 tension is common) You probably have a no turn neck(.293?) in the chamber. You will have to measure your brass but I'm thinking close to .288 bushing. Lone Wolf or long range can tell you what Lapua 6.5 neck walls measure. Wait for more input or google it. i just thought I would throw some common info out there to get your wheels turning.

your loaded neck is most likely going to be .294 + or - .0005...unless you plan to slightly jam or jam the bullets id start with a little more neck tension..i like .003...i also dont care for bushing dies so id recommend you buy a forster FL die but if you already have the bushing die and dont know your loaded neck size id say buy a .290 and a .291 bushings...if you only want to buy 1 bushing then you need to measure your loaded necks.

My loaded rounds measure .290" and I use a Forester FL sizer that's been neck honed to .2875". It works perfectly so I'd recommend starting at .287 and adjust from there.
