I gought a axis 2 in 22-250 about a year ago and its a dandy little rifle. I know its not a group like most of you guys can shoot. But i was happy with it. It was a 100 yards factory ammo the dot is 1 inch. I thought it and i done pretty good. Im sure someone else could do alot better. Maybe with more practice ill get better. Its just the price of the rifle and how it shoots is what blows my mind. Ill pick a savage any day over a remington or whatever. http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s549/heithcantrell/Mobile%20Uploads/Screenshot_2016-04-11-10-33-42_zpsfohkvpox.png (http://s1305.photobucket.com/user/heithcantrell/media/Mobile%20Uploads/Screenshot_2016-04-11-10-33-42_zpsfohkvpox.png.html)

I know how you feel. I have a .223 and a .270 that both shoot like that.

There would not be a thing wrong with being happy over that group.
The gun was designed to shoot things not groups, but it will do a good job of both.

Axis is an excellent platform. My .223 is great.

the rifle just blows my mind how well it shoots. im needing to give the barrel a good cleaning. what are the better cleaners out there. ive always used the Remington stuff. and is bronze brushes rough in the barrel?

Bronze brushes are fine. Another important thing for proper bore maintenance is a good rod. I prefer a one-piece over rod a jointed rod, and bare steel over coated steel or aluminum. Not only is steel stronger than aluminum, but as long as you keep it clean it is less abrasive than an aluminum or coated one. (Aluminum oxidizes almost instantly, and aluminum oxide is an excellent abrasive; and, grit gets imbedded in aluminum and coated rods quickly.) The Remington bore cleaner is fine, but if I let the bore go too long without cleaning I prefer one of the stronger ammonia-based cleaners.

That group ain't nuthin to sneeze at! Keep doing it! bad thing is i felt it when i squeezed the trigger on the 3rd shot. I thought i just ruined a good group. If it had a better scope i believe the thing would shoot the same hole. It still has the weaver kaspa. 3-9×40
