Allow me to introduce myself.
I'm a gray-haired old guy (I'm 62), that's in Southern Maryland. (I know. Too close to Washington, DC.) :rolleyes:
I use the screen name "byf43" because a bunch of years ago, I acquired my first K98k Mauser, a byf 43, and joined a forum, trying to find out some information, and didn't know what else to call myself.
I kinda figured that "grayhairedoldfartthatlikesguns" wouldn't go so well, and I guess the rest is history.
I've been a shooter, hunter, and reloader, for a little over 40 years.
I've competed in NRA Hunter Pistol, IHMSA, NRA High Power Rifle, GSSF, IPSC/USPSA and informal Trap Matches.
I've got a couple Savage rifles, but, within the last week I helped my youngest son buy a new 10FCP-SR and found this site, while researching for magazines, etc.
I look forward to learning a lot about Savage rifles, here.
