Can anyone tell me if anyone has ever attempted to chamber a short action 10/11/16 in .500 S&W?
The reason Im thinking about building one is for a Legal Ohio deer rifle.
The .500 has a rim diameter of .556 with a rim thickness of .056 so Im wondering if a large shank WSM action could be modified to work.
The rim diameter of the WSM is .535 with a rim thickness of .054.
If I opened the bolt face approx .021 I think it would work.
