On another thread, there has been a very good discussion on timing and tuning the Savage 110 action as SharpShooter does it.

SharpShooter has done several of these for me including some he has now. And, SharpShooter willing, he will do more in the future.

His work is outstanding and well worth the time and money.

The hypothetical question is this.

If SharpShooter were to teach the Savage factory how to do this, then their engineers were to purchase the correct equipment and fixtures to do the exact same job on a mass basis, wonder how much this would add to the purchase price of a factory new gun ?

Not including SharpShooter's royalty, of course.

Well Hammer,
If Savage gets around $100 dollars for an accu-trigger, (Approximate price difference between a Stevens 200 and a Savage model 11) that cost about the same to make as the other trigger, and the way they have inflated other things such as rifle cost. (Over $1000 for a 12 benchrest, and over $700 for the precision carbine) I would bet they would charge $1000.00 for a time and trued receiver ontop of other cost.
