Cross threaded action. What to do?

As the title states, I've somehow cross threaded my rear action screw. Anyone know the thread pitch for the screws or the kind of tap I'd need to get the lands back on pitch? I'm assuming it's the same pitch across the board for savage, but I have an 11 trophy hunter XP.

Any other suggestions?

your welcome...and most action screws are 1/4 28 i believe.

If you can't save it you can always go to 5/16-24, I have done it and it has worked out fine.

I always weld a nut on the bottom and then screw into that.
