I see firearms for save listed as Savage 111 Hunter XP Stainless Steel. My question is how would this rifle be different from a Savage 116 Hunter XP. The scope looks different but want if any would be the difference in the two rifles. Price wise, the 111 is $200 cheaper.

Here is a link to one of them. Looks like it has an accutrigger.

(I'm not a spam bot trying to get traffic to that guys website, my question is legitimate as I am looking to buy a 116 but wouldn't mind saving the $200 if I can)

Having never seen a 111 in stainless, I would suggest going to Savages website and check there, and give Hical a phone call to see what they have to say about it. Two hundred bucks would buy a bunch of ammunition.

My guess is that it's a typo and they meant to have 116 and not 111. However, it's a Canadian website so perhaps it's something unique to the Canadian market?

Neither the 116 XP or 116 XP International on Savage website have a Bushnell scope. It's Nikon and Weaver respectively. However that could switch easily if Savage couldn't get ahold of the right scope and just substituted.

I'd call Hical and see if you get someone that knows what's up.

The 116 has the accustock, the 111 does not. The 116's I've seen also have the nice metal (stainless) bottom metal where the 111s have plastic trigger guard and bottom metal.
