Glad to see the reports on the 210gr 338. I shoot a 210 Partition from mine and get about 2750 fps from whatever powder it is that I use (not RL17). Ever tried any 225s with that powder?

I tested some loads using RL17 in my 338-06 yesterday and while the velocities were less than I had hoped the consistency was great and one load in particular was insanely accurate in my gun. Here are the loads I tested. All used my Savage 111 with a 24" A&B barrel, new Winchester 30-06 brass necked up to 338, CCI primers and 225 grain Hornady SST's. I fired 3 shots with each and got these numbers

54 gr 3.34 COL - 2415, 2429, 2437 Average 2425

54 gr 3.36 COL - 2398, 2385, 2402 Average 2395

55 gr. 3.34 COL - 2470, 2469, 2478 Average 2472

55 gr 3.36 COL - 2464, 2467, 2464 Average 2465

Quickload showed 55gr to be a compressed load and I didn't try upping the charge past that but at 55gr there were no pressure signs. My gun seems to like the bullet seated a little farther out and the load with 55gr at a COL of 3.36 was the most accurate load I've tested so far. The velocities I was getting from my RL15 loads were faster and still VERY accurate so I'm sticking with them for now. I'm going to watch this thread and continue testing myself too

I had these 210 gr TTSX bullets left over so I am using them, but the 225 gr TTSX bulelts will be next.
Should be able to get somewhere around 2650-2700 just guessing.

Keep on going. You can get more out of it than that, like at least another 100-150+ fps.
You will probably hit another node higher.

My max load for the 338-06 with the 250 gr GK is 56 grains of RL17 at 2550 fps.

QL is not accurate with this powder.
I typically find max loads at about 5-10k over according to QL.

Around there is typically where I start seeing minor brass flow.

I hit a moderate 308/220 gr prohunter load at about 2300 that put 2 bullets through the same hole, and the third 3/8
and thats a round tip bullet. I did not think it would get to 2500 fps, but its close at 48 gr.
