Anybody ever neck-up 7mm rum brass to 338 edge? Any issues with split necks or other problems? Or would it make more sense to sell/trade my 7mm rum brass for 300 rum brass?

I'd hang onto the 7mm brass and shop/look around for some 300 brass for the project. Never though I'd see stinking brass as hard as it is to come by. And EXPENSIVE!

That is why I might try to neck-up some and see if it works. At least 308 and 223 brass seem to be available and cheap now.

If I were going to expand a case that much, I'd anneal the brass again after getting it to .308
I have resized 6.5 Remington Mag brass up to .358 with zero losses using that method. The necks were a little on the thin side which required annealing more frequently, but I never had a case neck split. I ran into 500 once fired 350RM cases for a smoking deal and retired the 6.5 brass.

Thanks for the information. Annealing isn't one my favorite things to do; about like trimming brass or removing primer crimps from military brass. But I guess only a couple hundred cases doesn't take too long to do.
