Hey guys. Anyone thought of building a short action around the 22TCM cartridge? I'd be interested to see what a 16" 22TCM would perform like.

Lots of back and forth on that subject. A few of us working on the 22 TCM as well as necking down to 20 and even 17. Nice brass to work with makes it easier to build from. Some info here
@ www.saubier.com.
It would end up as a "single feed" because of the short/fat case.

A friend and I recently discussed doing the same thing if it was feasible.

ANYTHING is feasible, just make up your mind what you want to do and go for it!! The only situation we've (the bunch that's working on the project) run into is dies and reamers. Not sure how far along it's gotten. Got a BUNCH of brass to work with. Some necked down to 20 and 17. Just a matter of deciding which way to go. Dummy round has to be perfect for a good reamer cut. Modified dies arn't getting the job done. (been there, tried that) Will take custom cut dies.
Also working on a Striker style short barreled rig in 22, 20 or 17. Havn't decided which caliber yet.
