Can you tell me how available a five round 6.8 SPC AICS mags is ?

I don't believe they are made. You could probably modify a 223 mag.

Like I mentioned on 68forums, your best bet is the magpul: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2319152100/magpul-pmag-ac-magazine-aics-short-action-308-winchester-polymer-black

I loaded one for a pic, you can fit 7 in it, 6 with the bolt closed. If you need 55, a block under the follower is needed:

The lips on te 308 mag actually hold the 68 rounds in? I'm surprised to say the least. AND pleased. Thanks a ton for the info
