308 vt savage

Have read a lot and I mean a lot of post on this rifle, and savage all together. Now one post said the 11 is a bottom of the barrel rifle for savage! Is it?? Now ammo I shot ammo from $35.00 to $9.99. (308) I can shoot a little, and have a pic on the forum some were of a 4 shot clover leaf under an inch at 100 and 3 shot groups under an inch at 180. With the stock and scope, that came with it. I like the gun!! will get a new scope, but the perfeacta 308 at $13.00 a box shoots great no need to shoot the high dollar stuff, 147 grain, the 180,168, and the150 all shot under an inch at 100 and under an inch at 180, just the cheap stuff shoots as good as the rest just have to resight when using different grains.

The 11 VT is NOT a bottom of the barrel Savage. They are a well made Dicks exclusive package gun. I love mine and it shoots exceptionally well. The scope is ok for plinking but more than that a better scope is warranted. The will take all the upgrades that any other savage Model 10/11 will. Im glad you like the gun.

their nice rifles. i almost bought one in 223 but with health care going up at work, and city taxes , i ended up with a camo savage axis hb with accutrigger for 149.00 less.

What did you guys pay? The dicks near me only has them with a bushnell scope for 699 which seems high to me.

I got the .223 on past black friday and with $50 rebate end price was 399.00.
