neither in my rifle. its a 26" stainless savage barrel. i dont shoot 168s, usually 155s, 190s, or 165 sgks, and for all the bullets ive tried mine likes 4007SSC. ive tried quite a few powders from the varget to 4350 range, and keep goin back to the 4007

Both IMR4831 and H4831sc work with 165 gr Noslers for me in a magnum sporter weight factory barrel. You can get more velocity out of IMR than H, but both shoot decent at book max load (Nosler Manual). Have not shot any 168's. This powder works well for Nosler 180's, both BT and Accubond also. YMMV

I found that the ball powders required magnum primers, but the stick powders worked fine with standard LR. I had a few squibbs using standard LR primers and W760..........Kinda weird to see the bullet hit the ground at 100 yards when you are shooting at 200.

Had a lot of pressure problems and primer issues with ball powders also. Reloader 19 and 22 worked for me with the edge going to R-19.

I had good luck with 168 Barnes x using RL-19 and imr 4350 with no clear winner. They both shot very well. Win 760 and not so good.

Reloader 17 and H4350. Reloader 17 is my powder of choice for the 300WSM
